We support athletes
The love for sport and water has been passed down from generation to generation at Lipno Lake. The lake and the community around it is a great place for aspiring athletes who do not abandon Lipno even after they win their first medal. You can meet most of them during their everyday training or as instructors for visitors.
Nikol Staňková|Czech Champion in sailing
She has lived at Lipno Lake for her whole life and at the age of 10 she started sailing. After two years of sailing, she became champion of the Czech Republic in the boat Optimist Class (2010) and a year later, she came the 4th at the European Championship in Portugal in 2011. She has also become the champion of Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. After transferring to boat class Europe, she became a member of the ship's crew of RS Feva together with Václav Brabec. Together they won 3rd place at World Championchip 2014. In 2014, she became the Europe Champion in sailing in girl’s category and came third together with Veronika Piklová.
Nikol is currently focused on preparing for the Olympic Games in 2020 in Tokyo in two-crew boat 49erFX with Johanna Kořanová. We keep our fingers crossed for them and we support them in their training.
Nowadays, Nikol can be seen at our camp in training, or as an instructor for visitors and sports playgroups.
